About the role
Build end-to-end demo applications and reference architectures using Lakebase and Databricks Apps, and translate platform capabilities into practical technical content for developers and data teams building data-native applications where transactional data, analytics, and AI operate on the same platform.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain end-to-end demo applications using Lakebase and Databricks Apps, covering transactional workflows, application state, analytics, and AI integration.
- Design and document reference architectures and application patterns that combine database semantics, analytics, and AI on the same data.
- Develop technical content including blogs, videos, walkthroughs, and sample applications that explain both the architecture and the developer workflow.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to test new capabilities, validate application patterns, and provide feedback grounded in real usage.
- Work with field engineering and product marketing to support launches, enablement, and customer-facing technical narratives.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly in customer meetings, analyst briefings, webinars, and conferences.
- Act as a subject matter expert for application development use cases involving Lakebase and Databricks Apps.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in technical marketing, software engineering, solutions architecture, or developer-focused product roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Postgres and transactional application patterns: schema design, indexing, migrations, and query tuning.
- Experience building and shipping applications with APIs and data access layers.
- Strong SQL skills; Python experience preferred.
- Familiarity with modern app stacks and deployment concepts.
- Strong writing and presentation skills for technical audiences.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
- Nice to have: experience with analytics, BI, or AI workloads integrated into applications; familiarity with governance, identity, and access control; prior field-facing or customer-enablement experience; Databricks or cloud platform certifications.
